To bolster emergency response preparedness, law enforcement agencies and emergency services are equipping Mobile Command units with advanced technology.
LDV, Inc. in Burlington, WI is a long-time CWS customer and leading manufacturer of custom vehicles. These robust units are built for law enforcement agencies, military operations, power utility companies, and more.
Mobile Command vehicles serve as a centralized, temporary communication hub and are regularly outfitted with Magellan MX500 Vehicle-Mount weather stations. This model includes GPS and an internal compass for automatic self-alignment of wind direction for an easy, no-hassle setup.
Common parameters can be monitored in real-time and include wind speed and direction, air pressure, temperature, and relative humidity.
“Mobile command posts are a must for critical incidents, natural disasters, and some crime scenes . . . Our Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) personnel worked closely with the manufacturer to design and equip this from the ground up making it one of the most advanced and capable vehicles in the industry.”
Riverside County Sheriff's Mobile Command Posts have been deployed to critical incidents, including wildfires, natural disasters, and crime scenes.
