Communication - Magellan Portable

Communication between sensor head and monitoring device

Standard with the Magellan MX Portable Weather Station.

One transceiver is housed in the weatherproof carry-case near the sensor head.

The second transceiver is connected to the Interface Module at the data display site, which then is connected to a Weather Display Console and/or computer.

For the wireless weather station, a transceiver is housed in a weatherproof enclosure near the sensor head. A single transceiver is connected to the Interface Module at the data display site, which then is connected to a Weather Display Console and/or computer.

These stations require power at the site of the weatherproof enclosure. This power can be AC, battery or solar.

A wireless weather station system configuration would include the weather station itself with display or software, plus a weatherproof enclosure and transceivers.

A short cable connects the sensor head to the Weather MicroServer through the carrying case. Data is logged in the Weather MicroServer for the desired time period and downloaded or exported via the browser user interface. An ethernet port in the carrying case allows users to access the Weather MicroServer in the field.
